The USPTO has expanded its website to include every patent issued in the U.S. since 1790, nearly 7 million! This database can be accessed directly or through the IAA site's "Helpful Links." The direct method: http://www.uspto.gov/patft. Invention Univ.'s "Helpful Links" approach is: Patent Searching and Info > www..uspto.gov http > uspto.gov > Searchable Databases > Patent full text Database with full page images > "Welcome to the USPTO Web Patent Databases". That "Welcome to..." site is what you get when you use the direct method. Once there, you need to download a special version of a TIFF viewer to view the patents. The how-to-download is found on the "Welcome to..." site.

Meet the Board

History of the IAA -- In 1996, Susan Moore and Lisa Lloyd were two women armed with a great idea and a great deal of perseverance. While developing their product, they quickly discovered that resources and support for independent inventors were severely lacking. Their vision of a non-profit organization dedicated to helping inventors was soon brought to life.  Through their efforts and the efforts of others, the group has grown.
